Ductless Mini Split Tune-up Checklist

A ductless heat pump system tune-up will vary based on the specific types and configurations of your system, but a common checklist includes:

Test operate the system in both heating and cooling mode to observe and operating maintenance issues.
Inspect the refrigerant lines and the refrigerant line insulation. Ensure that refrigerant lines are properly secured.
Check all indoor units to ensure they properly mounted, secure, and level to ensure proper condensate removal
Inspect the indoor units and filters for dirt or debris and clean as necessary
Examine the indoor blower systems in ducted systems
Check the condensate lines and any condensate pumps in the system
Check the outdoor safety disconnect
Check the outdoor unit to ensure that it is properly mounted, secure, and set in a way to prevent snow or ice accumulation during winter operation
Examine the outdoor unit blower.
Inspect the outdoor unit coil for damage or anything that might obstruct airflow and clean as necessary.
Test wired thermostat (if used) and remote control operation. Replace any remote control batteries as needed
Start-up system and test operation. Test the operation of each indoor unit in both heating and cooling mode.
Clean-up: we'll clean up our work areas and make sure everything is neat and tidy before we leave.
